Frank R. Jimenez

VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL COUNSEL OF GE HEALTHCARE & FORMER 21ST GENERAL COUNSEL OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY

Frank R. Jimenez is an attorney who is the vice president and general counsel of GE Healthcare and who served as the 21st General Counsel of the U.S. Department of the Navy.

Jimenez most recently served as executive vice president and general counsel at Raytheon Technologies Corp. In prior roles, Jimenez served as general counsel at Raytheon Company prior to its 2020 merger with United Technologies Corporation, as well as at Bunge Limited, Xylem Inc. and ITT Corp.

In government service, Jimenez also served as deputy general counsel (legal counsel) for the U.S. Department of Defense, principal deputy general counsel of the Navy, chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for Secretary Mel Martinez, and deputy chief of staff and acting general counsel for Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

He has volunteered on the boards of the University of Miami, Equal Justice Works, the Pro Bono Partnership, the Atlantic Legal Foundation, the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, the Yale Law School Fund, the Yale Law School Association, the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law, PioneerLegal and the Miami Christian School.

Jimenez received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. He also received a Master of Business Administration in finance and strategic management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a Master of Arts in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College, with an emphasis in the law of armed conflict. Jimenez is admitted to the bars of Florida, the District of Columbia, New York and the U.S. Supreme Court.
