HII contributed nearly $1.1 million to the United Way and other health and human services organizations in 2019, and employees pledged an additional $600,000 through company-sponsored fundraising campaigns. HII and its three divisions also have long-standing relationships with organizations like the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics and local food banks. Thousands of our employees give their time, talent and money in support of many other organizations — large and small — that strengthen their communities.
Employees from HII’s Washington, D.C., office volunteered to package 2,500 pounds of beans into 1,967 individual packages to assist the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) on HII Cares Day.

Ingalls 5K on the Causeway supported Special Olympics Mississippi with a $50,000 donation that will help send local athletes to competitions across the U.S. More than 950 runners registered for the race on Singing River Island in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
